When I click on the samygo icon, I get the "network interference error" message as pop up on tv, and installing procedure stops

Doesn't look line one of those "low memory" models... Did you try FAT usb?

well it's best to try both Since I don't see any (obvious) reason why it didn't work for you I suspect it might something to do with usb sticks... We didn't have reports about the problems you have before....
Also I am unable to find your post with firmware version

I will try soon with fat usb (not fat32)
The firmware version here is 1018
