Hello everyone,

I hope someone can help me with my Samsung UE55HU7500.

My TV had an older firmware version and was successfully rooted with SamyGO. Everything worked perfectly, including OSCam and all Smart Hub applications.

One day, the TV automatically updated itself online to firmware 1310. After the update, I lost root access and OSCam stopped working, but all Smart Hub applications were still working normally.

I tried to root the TV again using the USB root package, but the root application on the USB drive would not launch anymore.

Since I couldn't restore root, I decided to perform a Factory Reset from the Service Menu.

After the Factory Reset, a new problem appeared:

- Smart Hub is permanently stuck on "Smart Hub is updating".
- None of the Smart Hub applications will start.
- The only application that still works is the web browser.
- TV channels and all other TV functions work normally.

Thinking the firmware might be corrupted, I downloaded the latest official firmware 1320 from Samsung and installed it from a USB drive. Unfortunately, nothing changed. The problem is exactly the same.

At this point:

- Root is gone.
- SSH/Telnet are no longer available.
- OSCam is gone.
- Smart Hub never finishes updating.
- No Smart Hub applications work except the web browser.

Has anyone experienced this before?

Is there any way to recover Smart Hub, completely erase all traces of the old software, or restore the TV to a fully clean factory state?

If someone can help me fully restore the TV to a working rooted state with SamyGO and OSCam, I am offering a reward of $200.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have a very similar model (UE55HU7100) running the exact same Firmware 1320, and I might have a few suggestions that could help resolve your Smart Hub issue and get root back. No guarantees, but these steps are worth checking out:

1. Smart Hub Loop & Service Menu

Access the Service Menu while the TV is in standby using Info + Menu + Mute + Power.

Look for options like Smart Hub Reset or SVC Reset inside the menu. Performing this reset can help clear the stuck update state and restore Smart Hub functionality.

2. Rooting Firmware 1320

Root is actually still possible on FW 1320. On my UE55HU7100 (FW 1320), I was able to root it using this SamyGO method: viewtopic.php?t=13249

Once you get Smart Hub unstuck and working again, try following the instructions in that thread before attempting any serial/Ex-Link downgrades.
