On the other hand you have WLAN which is only half-duplex (LAN is full-duplex) so you have only 12mbps, and that's the main problem. So the question is, how we can optmize/hack/configure Samba server to go above 25mbps limit.
Are you telling me that I wouldn't get more than 12 mbps, which is 1.5MB/s as I'm achieving with my 54g WLAN, even though if I was using a N-WLAN? That sounds weird. Why isn't there this 25, respectively 12.5 mbps limitation when transferring files between two Windows PCs since they are using samba shares.

Don't worry, I wouldn't wanna argue with you. I was just confused that this issue was stated as a Samba problem. But indeed it's just the linux samba client that seems to be crappy.
Anyway, has someone had at least some improvements with the mount parameters posted by arris?

my 9476647047 bytes "testmovie" (titled as 1080p)
Duration: 01:30:22.43, start: 0.000000, bitrate: N/A
Stream #0.0(ger): Video: h264, yuv420p, 1920x1040 [PAR 1:1 DAR 24:13], 23.98 tb(r)
Stream #0.1(ger): Audio: dca, 48000 Hz, 5:1
Stream #0.2(eng): Audio: dca, 48000 Hz, 5:1

is just playable over nfs (but sometimes it lags also for few seconds)
over samba and djmount it plays as a 2fps movie, can't test samsung share manager and also don't have usb-pen for test. (tuning at server side not tested)
yesterday i included some new software into svn today is "cleaning day" and next week i have no time for SamyGO
so somebody may like to test fusesmb, curlftpfs and nfs-fuse-readahead.
