Then I guess they are the ones thinking different for real

I've rebooted different times already.

What's the difference between the 2 versions of samyGOso, the standard 1.2.4 e the test one? Because the standard 1.2.4 gives me this message:

Code: Select all

/mnt/opt/privateer/usr/bin/samyGOso: line 1: syntax error: unexpected word (expecting ")")
while the other gives me segmentation fault.

Ahh this error means "You did not correctly upload/send samyGOso" usually means FTP not set to binary ;)

Just different toolchain for compilation. I know that both work perfectly on my TV, the rest is out of my understanding :)

Thanks for this hint, in fact filezilla wasn't set to binary transfer. But even now that I've changed it, I continue to get the same error (don't worry I've also restarted the tv :))

well if it wasn't set to binary and you DID set it to binary it looks it didn't work :D compare the size or run md5sum :)

You know what you're saying man, the size was a little bit different! Filezilla didn't save the change and so the transfer mode was still set to "automatic". Now it finally works. Really thank you sectroyer :)

Is it normal that in this screen I don't see the text "Added to start/end time"? Anyway the two text fields both exist and if pressed show the correct values.

A curiosity: I see that on the first page it is referred to this feauture as a "built-in" one, but I've never scheduled a recording before, so does it mean that it already existed (prior to root) but had fixed timings?

It is completely normal. At least on H :)

We discovered that this feature was "built-in" because on some TVs (such as mine, see the name of the patch ;) ) it was available by default, and not on most others.
What patch does is simply to unlock it, then set different default values than built-in ones.
However, it's possible that on some TVs, functionnality is not intended to be available at all, so even dialog text is no longer there. :)
