SamyGO

Hi I want to root my UE46F6510. I'm not sure what the benefits are. I want to watch some streams(IPTV). Is this possible after rooting and installing the SamyGo widget ? Also is it possible to unroot it again ?

I've just managed to get root access on a Samsung UE46F6270 running on firmware 1118.

But I have some more questions:

- Does the usb stick containing the content of the data.zip archive have to remain connected to the tv?
- What happens when I delete the SamyGo widget from the device? Am I going to lose root access to the tv?
- Is the Skype app still running in the background (taking up bandwidth/CPU power)?

Guys, question:
I bought a secound f7080, installed firmware is 1115. Are there any issues if I want to get root access and after it install samygo f extensions?

WORKS ON THE F5570 WITH CURRENT FIRMWARE!

I'm wondering: if I just want to transfer some apps back to my tv, do I need to run SamyGO first to root the tv? Or is it enough to just setup Skype + the developer account part to get ftp access?

I've the UE55F6500 with Firmware 1118.
I get all steps and i see the result for step 1 and 2 is "ok". But after reboot, the root access don't work. No ftp, nothing.

I updated f7080 from v1115 to v1116 - still root access (ftp and telnet tested).

Do you notice any improvements?
I do not belive that Samy will close the door (block the root) in any further FW updates. If they want it, they would definetly did long time ago... Samy is not the best picture you can get, but all extra staff works. So, together with SamyGO, they make TV best selling.

PS: Where did you get 1116.0? I can not find it announced on the Samsung official web site.

Someone on a german forum wrote that v1116 is available, but not yet on website --> you have to search directly on tv for update.
Improvements? Haven't noticed anything yet.

However, on this german forum and other german websites they say, v1115 have bad picture quality, what's your opinion? I can't say anything about this, because i bought this tv and firmware was already v1115. V1112 should have good picture quality?!
