OK thanks.
I tried with the howto version, which is dated newer (jan2014), but still version 1; and
I tried the usb version, which is dated earlier (nov2013) but for some reason claims to be version 2.
I ensured Skype loaded, ticked the logons, quit, etc.
Unfortunately in both cases FTP still did not work... the same Connection Refused issue.
As I got this working earlier today with firmware 1117, and my issues are with the 4-day old (Aus) 1118, then my assumption is to assume that the newer firmware could be the factor.
The TV which was 1117 and I upgraded to 118, still has its multiple region apps on it, but no root access, with the same connection refusal symptom.

hi im new and need root, but missed some intsructions before upgraded a firmwares
, now the firm version 1119.0 ue40f5300 series, so a little chance check a root firends
how to downgrade? i need a good firm that works samygo without problems, ex.:1003.2

I've also updated the firmware on my F8000 in 1118 but do not have access with SamyGO PVRDecoder. I hope that in the future everything will adjust.

It seems there is a new Skype update (v3.140423) available for F series TVs. Has anyone updated, does it effect SamyGO?

my TV updated skype and samygo stopped working. had to reinstall samygo and all is fine... f7000.

My TV f7000 updated both firmware to 1118 and skype v3.140423. Unfortunately I forgot to stop auto update. I install samygo again, widget report that all is OK but I have no ftp, no ssh no web.. no any kind of root access and oscam stop working. Any ideas or experience ?

The same here with F8000.... Even with the old 1115 FW it stopped working after Skype update.. After FW 1118 and full SamyGOreinstallartion - the same. Does not work

I wonder what happens if I find somewhere old version of skype widjet distro and install using SammyWIdjets application. I don't know from where find it but ...
