Do you already have a root for the firmware 2101?
The files from the first post doesn't work on this firmware

WANTED: root, 100$ reward :D. Sorry, no bounty hunter there. You should explain what's wrong and maybe we could help you. Then, feel free to donate more to the community, just be aware that we're not selling anything.

Don't tell you haven't been warned not to upgrade :)

Hi all,

I followed the tutorial to disable OTN for my F8000.
I can enter the service menu. However, my screen doesn't flash when I play the .wav file with VLC. Thus, I don't see the 'OTN Support' attribue under 'MRT Option', it has much less attributes.
The IR blaster provided with the TV is plugged on my headphone line. The sound volume is a the highest value. When unplugged I can hear the short sound.

I am on 1118 firmware version. I already have the SamyGo app from a previous root before TV was upgraded to 1118 and didn't remove it before installing the new SamyGo app.

Any suggestion?

Check if at least a simple key such as "INFO_from_REMOTE_inv.wav" works. If not, use another media player than VLC. If still not, use another computer with louder headphone volume :)

Nope. This IR sound doesn't even work.

I tried also with my Cowon D2 that has a high audio level. Same result.

It doesn't work with most mobile devices, they NEVER have an high audio level...
It's absolutely needed that no "effect" is applied on audio out for it to work, you should try to play waves with Audacity, for example, instead of VLC.
Then, if it still doesn't work, 2 possibilities:
-Your IR blaster is out of order (you can check this by filming it in darkness while playing waves, most digital cameras catch IR :) )
-Most likely, it's confirmed you don't have enough volume on audio out (in practice, near to ear-destroying loudness is needed, check with *real* headphones :D )
