Knowledge: prepare for NO Skype Without support on SAMSUNG SERVERS Skype will NOT work

It won't work BUT maybe it will start? Or try to start?

Knowing that the essential startup stuff inside /mtd_rwcommon/moip/engines/Skype is not part of widget but got from Samsung servers, it's very unlikely. I think former tries to install it as user widget were already unsuccessful anyway

On my C it worked as a charm

I'm talking about still existing TVs
At least: the ones using Skype for root

Have you thought that cool Samsung TV cameras will become useless if the Samsung servers stop to support the Skype for already released TVs.
Lets ask the samsung what will going happen with slype for TVs that has been advertised with Skype as cool feature.

Well I had bought my TV to use advertised: Family Story, Social TV and Explore 3D. All over
Do you think they care? Anyway you mandatorily agreed to (abusive) Smarthub Terms where nothing is promised to last.
You still can use your camera for motion control, if by "chance" your TV supports it

I came here right after the warning I just received tonight in the Smart Hub about the end of Skype App on June 2nd.
I'm so mad at Microsoft and Samsung about this as, believe it or not, I actually use the Skype App often and like it.

- Can someone backup the Skype App so we can use it with a modified firmware after June 2nd ? Is this possible ?
- Can we prevent the Smart Hub from removing the app ? (pointing some DNS to anything unreachable ?)

I didn't know about the server side.
I thought it was a kind of stand alone app and not a client-server based relation. Silly me !

I'm so disappointed for my kids.
Skype for tv is very easy and useful for them.
I must find another solution now... there's no way they use my phone
