I expected the TV to reboot a number of times. Maybe it was not needed, since the TV was already rooted.

I have checked your links a number of times. They only mention firmware update and say nothing about losing Skype. If it also does prevent losing Skype, then maybe you should state that clearly.

I informed many times that I NEVER got Skype removed from H TV So it looks it does the job

1- I think there is an error in the file runSamyGO.sh in the Skype_engine.zip in the first post. It mentions a command "/dtv/samygo_telnetd 3123&" but just before, samygo_telnetd has been copied to "/dtv/bin" not in "/dtv/"
There should be a "chmod 777 /dtv/samygo_telnetd" as chmod +x /dtv/samygo_telnetd

2- in the Main.js file (InstallSamyGO-H) the files "libSkype.so", "AutoStart" and "runSamyGO.sh" should be mention as in "Skype" directory so, in the function rootSamyGO:
currentStep += exists(skypePath_engine + "/Skype/libSkype.so");
currentStep += exists(skypePath_engine + "/Skype/AutoStart");
currentStep += exists(skypePath_engine + "/Skype/runSamyGO.sh");

You are aware that it will "go away" if updates NOT blocked on router ?

I never blocked updates on router level since my router doesn't have the option but the new Skype root is still running fine
