Widget is sectroyer's code, unstable by definition :)

First of all, thanks for the hack, it works! :)

Where could I get the kernel modules for Samba/NFS?

Linux localhost 3.10.30 #3 SMP PREEMPT Tue Nov 22 09:44:19 UTC 2016 armv7l GNU/Linux
T-HKMFKDEUC-1169.2

Thanks!

Modules are in $MOD_DIR (=SYSROOT/lib/modules/HKMFK), and will be inserted as soon as you enable/start smb or nfs client script.

Cool, that worked. however new problem now :)

It seems I have hit the scalability limit...

I can browse the nfs mounted share over telnet, however if I use the TV GUI (Source, USB stick) I see an endless spinning wheel in the GUI file manager.
During the runtime with spinning wheel the TV remains responsive, I can return back to "Live TV" etc.

If I map a sub-folder of the same share I can browse/play/FF/RW the content in highest bit rates just fine.

It's a pity that my old C series can cope with such a mount no problem while new K can't..

I tried to run the etc/init.d/90_nfsclient.init manually and I saw that it scans the share to creates some db.
After ~15mins mins it completed but still I couldn't browse the share.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

It finally works on T-HKMFK? Really? Great :)
Only found solution to avoid "endless spinning wheel" is to "share less files", TV looks to overflow even with true USB. Shame indeed.

  • VERY IMPORTANT: Do not try to mount shares containing too huge amount of files, TV is unable to handle them (same for true USB btw, not mount related), some database refresh is mandatory and looks to "overflow" at some point, resulting in "endless refresh".
  • A reasonable MAXIMUM total (=all shares sum) number of files would be no more than ~10000. Less is better. You're warned.

I am aware of the overflow (read the posts).. I was just curious if by any chance any fix/workaround has not come to life to fix it...

I thought that once u have the db it should be relatively quick and that it would work... but it doesn't...

Anyway, I will try SMB.

Thanks
