for E Series rooting is not working.
It gets to the loop and nothing else happens.
Is there a valid fix for it or the whole trick here is that it is valid for 2000.2 firmware ony?
Thank you in advance.

UPDATE:
SOO E series rooting works.
I think it is Important to mention for E Series instructions MST and NON-MST must be followed as well.

There is no risk at all.
The new method is indeed more safe and risk free because everything is resident on USB. If you unplug USB than the root is gone.
On the other way, the new method is less reliable in the automatic start (at least on my F8000).
Some time it is necessary to start it manually.

At your place I would use the old rooting method with skype hack that has inside also a USB STOP feature in case of troubles.

Now I want root again but I don't have success.
I will try some procedures shortly but in the beginning:
this is the output from samygo. Everything is green without (see picture here!).

Is that OK?
TIA for your reply!
Anyone here to give me an answer please? :)

Sorry, the photo is taken, while I've tried MST-method and be sure I did it ;-) because it is the same stick I have rooted under FW 1120 with success.
Look here: MST-Fix

There is a way to continue to use skype also with the old method... it is a bit triky but it works...
If I remeber well is in the E series forum.

Hi,

I have a 40F7000 (Fw. T-FXPDEUC-1118.0, T-FOXDEUS2-1003). I have disabled OTN Support, I've prepared the SamyGo USB (copied files, etc.) and tried several times to install the SamyGo-F App with no success: I tried also to plug USB while in more apps, to login with develop/no password before to plug usb while in smarthub/more apps, I've rebuilt usb file structure and double checked files on it, pressed OK (and then selected again in Smarthub/apps/more apps) and Return when I got the new disk notification.

None of the attempts was successful I was not able to see the SamyGo app in the available apps, my issue is that I am not able to install the SamyGo-F app at all.

Just to complete the picture, on my TV I am plugging Samygo USB to USB Port #2 via a USB extension cable, USB #1 has a 16Gb flash drive dedicated to TV Recording directly plugged (I cannot unplug it cause the TV is wall mounted and I don't have direct access to USB ports without to dismantle the wall panels, anyway by reading the posts I understood the root method should work also with other USB plugged.... and BTW I am blocked a step ahead, I am not able to install the app at all), moreover my TV is connected to an HT-F5500 blu-ray device but I can't figure out how this can avoid app to install. TV has direct cable connection to the xDSL router.

Any suggestion? What am I doing wrong?

Many thanks,

DMS
