What do you think this may fix, exactly ?
It seems like I have succesfully patched exeDSP now to get rid of Cinavia, so before I do anything else - might the above break/reset that ?

re-installing widget gives you another version of SamyGO - modules including. You have just test it

p.s. syncing widgets does not affect any modifications you just done.

Fair enough, I will attempt this tomorrow. Girlfriend came home from work, so I'm afraid I no longer have possession of the remote
Furthermore, I found the hex string to look for in exeDSP multiple times. I have my own copy of IDA so the correct entry was easily found and modified, but I guess to the beginning user, this will not be so easy - he will not know which value to modify. Maybe the documentation should be slightly updated ? (For me, the value to modify was at 0x97D8F8)
P.S. if anybody has a link to a file they know contains Cinavia, so I can test my player now, I'd be most grateful.

The new extensions are working.
FTP is working, and though it took some effort (long uninteresting story) I also have my DLNA shares available directly through the virtual USB through CIFS - hurrah!
No more Cinavia, and finally decent seeking in MKVs. What more could I want ?

well, string to look for shouldn't repeat in whole exeDSP, pls add your comment in another topic (
viewtopic.php?t=5275) about this issue. do you have some suggestions? btw, exact firmware name and version you've used...

Can anyone answer whether or not its possible/safe to upgrade to a patched firmware via usb. I'm interested in patching it myself, but would not know how to make the patched firmware available to the player over dns.
Also, can someone point me toward documentation (or at least drop the key words i need to Google) on how i could redirect the player to use a specific dns via my router (so as to avoid needing a FaNet cable) ? Is that possible?

Hi, I (as some people around) would like to also add my request for a patched B-FIRBPEWWC. I have a bd-e5900 an Cinavia is being a B!tch. Will there be a Cinavia free patch for the BD-E5900 soon? Please. Thanks.

Please clarify.
Upgrade from usb (to an unpatched firmware) is possible and a typical route of upgrade.
juuso, do you mean upgrading (increase in number) to a patched firmware via USB is impossible, or that DOWNGRADING via USB is impossible?
Can any firmware version be patched for samygo?
I am not trying to be difficult. I am reading all information available and trying to figure out how to install a patched firmware myself as the B-FIRBPEWWC is not available and i have already requested it. Rather than pestering others to do something for me I am happy to do it myself but some of the documentation is less than thorough for someone new to the process.

neither upgrading nor downgrading to patched firmware trough USB possible.
