For ES6450 you have to use newer rooting techniques available in Extras

Of course there is

Basically the method is finished (in Extras) and I didn't release all the details because none asked for it

Hi everybody,
I have the UE46ES8000SXXC with firmware 2009.2, but the option 'screen mirroring' in Source is missing

I would like to upgrade the firmware version to add this option, but after reading the comments.... I not sure at all!
On the other hand, there is a new firmware version 2014.2 available. Is it possible to know its content?
Thank you

Your TV model is normally downgradable using firmware 0000 from first post...
Why do you think latest fw will make screen mirroring appear? Did you already see it before a previous upgrade? There's never any release notes and upgrade generally bring nothing positive.
You may try to downgrade instead of upgrade and see if option appears (if it exists at all). Here are 15 different firmwares for your TV, if you want to try them

ps: if you start from smallest number you need fw 0000 only once

Make a SW reset and apply.
Very often this happens after root due to some module interfeering with the original FW.
SW Reset normally solve the issue.
Please remeber that after SW downgrade the OTN support is restored to ON.
