Were you expecting some instant enhancements? This is rooting thread only :)
Yes, now you should be able to use PVRdecoder and nearly any [app] from [F] Software and Extras sections.

Thanks a lot for this hack! I also put some time in getting it to work.

I first tried all the previous versions. Then i found out they won't work with my UE40F6320 MST 1120 firmware.
After trying a lot i did a factory reset. Reinstalled Skype, with the auto login and auto start option.
Unplugged all usb went to smart hub more apps, plugged in the usb hit return. Installed the fix. Reboot TV. Wait nothing.
I tried installing it twice after a reboot. Log of Samsung account. Start webbrowser. I got ftp suddenly. After plugin and rebooting it now is working perfect. Also got pvrdecoder working now!.
I'm not entirely sure what did it for me, but i'm glad it's working now!

- I do seem to have the problem after multiple reboots it stops somehow... :(
Frustrating i can't get it to work again now.
It seemed to work great after trying several hours yesterday. but now i tried reinstalling the mst fix again several times, no go...
12:38 No go, tried installing the MST Fix and The non MST one. No more access. Also it seems that the usb is only recognized correctly when my harddrive is unplugged.
I will try one more factory reset...

After factory reset it works again with no new installation :D
I hope for good now lol

When using the ticker autorun occasionally (20%?) of the time the USB drive is not found and SamyGO extensions are not loaded. Is there a way to delay loading?

Try using a faster USB drive :)

Yes it is. The method requires reading previous posts :)

After experimenting to make sure rooting has succeeded i descided to move the files from my usb stick to the harddrive. I connected the hdd to my pc and made a 1st FAT 16 partition for the SamyGo files. The remaining size i formatted as EXT3 partition (Primary). After formatting I plugged in the USB stick and my HDD and installed the MST Fix again.

I had to do the speed test again but after that it works like a charm, I even tried restarting the TV several times to make sure the result is reliable. So far this method works best for me. I don't have enough experience with the way the Linux works on the TV, but it looked as if the USB Stick didn't get assigned the right way when my HDD and the stick were in the tv at the same time. It takes roughly 20 seconds before SamyGo PVR Decoder can connect through ftp and telnet. Maybe this could help others that are experiencing difficulties with FW 1120 (MST) , I have an UE40F6320. Thanks for the great work!

Thanks for report Gringos, I think it's more a matter of drive detection speed than conflicting simultaneously plugged devices. Everybody experiencing SamyGO autostart unstability should install it on a real HDD instead of their grandmother USB 1.0 pen :)

After trying to add a sleep 45 to rcSGO I see this in sam.log, can you explain what it means?

Code: Select all

Starting rcSGO from run1.sh
