Can the problems be related with the fact that the TV was already rooted, but I forgot to turn off automatic updates so I was on FW1120 (=no root anymore)?

And now we know everything from first post:
WARNING!!!! DON'T EXPECT HACK TO BE WORKING CORRECTLY IF YOU EVER UNPLUG ROOTING USB WHILE TV IS ON:)!!!!!!
You should never, ever unplug rooting usb while TV is ON :) It most definitely broke everything :)
I do NOT support "latest fw" at ALL. If you have one you should block updates on router and wait for it to STOP being "latest":)
If you want me to help you please paste FULL log(s) to "spoiler"/"code" bbcodes or provide link(s) to pasted file(s) on https://pastebin.com Otherwise "NO HELP"!!!
If you want root DISABLE internet access to your device!!!!
DO NOT EVER INSTALL FIRMWARE UPGRADE !!!!

You added the "while TV is on" right now, I thought the first post meant you shouldn't remove the USB while rooting :D

Yeah start from scratch :) First prepare USB (your files are broken now) and then continue trying until you get GREEN at /mnt/rcSGO. Then don't touch anything and contact me here :)

Problem is that I can't start the rooting app on TV without unplugging the USB (I have to plugin the USB in the "More Apps" screen). Tried restarting, but didn't work.

Shutdown TV and then unplug :)
