How you see, the animations function very very good on the C650 and it looks really good.
i think that you can activate animated menu if you connect your tv to pc with exlink or in the service menu in section advanced or expert.
But i haven't info i'm searching too a way to activate animated menu but i can't find it.
I understand that some functions of tv are locked on a specific model code (in the service menu) so we have to find a way to activate these options withouth changing the model string in service menu.

I have another question, maybe it is a little bit offtopic.
In the service menu under "option" there is a point "ch table".
What are these options under this point?
On my C650 it is set to NONE and on my P2470HD TV monitor to SEH???

Is it possible to do timeshifting only when the source is TV?
I can have cable tv only through EXT or AV, and in AV it sais unavailable.

yes, it is only possible with the internal tuners.

Hi, do you have any update on this? I have a D7000 and would like to be able to edit recordings from Free-To-Air channels. I don't understand why Samsung would encrypt FTA channels in the first place - are they even allowed to do that?

Our hack is for C series not D series. But I think it's portable to D series later.
But we cannot give release date from now.

Works a treat on a C6530, very happy thanks. I wonder what other features could be unlocked by selecting another model? I have left mine as a 6800 for the time being.
