Don't open program guide before SamyGO is loaded :) (Anyway EPG info usually take some time to be fully loaded as well)
JamesZ wrote:- the channel info box is shown ~5 seconds on every channel change (instead of SamyGO picture mentioned?).
It's normal that the "SamyGO picture mentioned" doesn't show on each startup on MST, there's no autostart widget. This part relates only to non-MST models.
If you want to remove info bar of each channel change, FTP to TV and rename /mnt/etc/init.d/99_99_ChannInfoON.init to 99_99_ChannInfoON.init.dis (and reboot TV)

No idea why you can't Factory reset, maybe unlocking of extended service menu is needed? Did you try at least Smarthub reset?
Yeah, did try SmartHub reset (I meant this was greyed out, but it was because I was in an app, but it's OK.) - didn't work. I didn't try real factory reset, but it seems I have to.
I'll try adding sleep soon.

It has FINALLY worked. The problem was the LAN, via WiFi the rooting worked in the 3rd try.
I have one question: how long is this sleep=120? Are this seconds, milliseconds?

Seconds, you can adjust it if you notice (much) less is enough :)

Set it to 30, this is acceptable for me and safe to launch the root. :)

Okay good to know. Now we can add to first post. but I would not suggest this as a default option rather as a backup (in case everything else fails) solution :)
