Hi guys,

I tried to root my 55HU8500 yesterday evening - realistically I should have done without being sleepy like hell I think, but here are the results which I can't really understand:

It took some time and a reboot for SmartHub to detect the app on the USB stick

First try, I started while using LAN for some reason (tiredness):

So I switched to WLAN and ran again:


generated were the qca-file, vendor and network type info but no version magic

What I wondered about is that the widget did not ask specifically to reboot the tv. Nevertheless the files were created.

But no port 21/22/23 open

Firmware version? Latest I guess?

The same as yesterday T-GFP9DEUC-1282.0. Now router is blocking

Too late imho, looks like game over for GFP too...

From which output one can see that it does not work? Quite some OKs on that list

I wondered in which way the feedback that samygo installed is shown to the user.

No idea, I'm not the author, I just "keep the shop"

It's the question if it's worth to start anew. The ONLY ONCE was kind of not working due to the wrong network setting

When you rooting the newest firmware with the skype method is the root ok but you dont can connect over ftp or telenet and ssh

Well you take no risk in retrying, but I just notice you have exactly the same output as other models/fw above on which it's now reliably proven method doesn't work anymore...

Which means it's NOT ok.

After lots of try, I have no successful result.
