There is any way to install Skype 4.0 in a root Samsung F8000 Smart TV without Samsung Evolution Kit? The TV has built-in camera and I think that the new version of Skype will be very useful for us.

I am kicking myself right now... left my TV with my brother who upgraded to latest 2104 version on F8500. Lost FTP and virtual USB. Can someone please confirm that SamyGO doesn't work with version 2104?

I tried factory reset install/reinstall everything, no luck. Can't even downgrade to v1119. This sucks. Anyone able to help, or I just gotta wait for someone to post a new solution?

Anything I can offer to help the developers?

I'm new here and have read threads about rooting f-series.
Until now I've changed nothing on my F6500, but I want to play videos from shared drives from a linux NAS-server with all options to alter the aspect ratio to view it in correct mode (like available with vlc-media-player). I've read about virtual usb moutings and other stuff, and also about the method to root the f-series via samygo (through skype and so on).
Unfortunately my F6500 has updated last month to firmware 2102.2 (german tv-model: Produktinformation: Modellcode: UE40F6500; Softwareversion: T-MST12DEUC-2102.2, BT-G).

Is donor-group membership and donation neccessary? Before joining: Is it actually possible to root my model although with this new firmware (or somehow downgrade firmware)?
I would be very happy, if I get a reliable answer or further links.
