Antivirus issue is just false positive, be sure here is no dangerous code in it.

First of all, SamyGO PVRDecoder seriously upsets my antivirus protection (AVG AntiVirus Free). It says it contains "Potentially unwanted application Tool.UB.dropper". I am not sure if this was a false warning, or if PVRDecoder really contains evil code.
After making the possibly unwise decision to add an exception for PVRDecoder in AVG, I could finally start the program. I added the IP address of my TV, and PVRDecoder found my recordings. To test the program, I selected a few recordings. When I pushed the button "Decode selected recordings" the program started to work. But after a few seconds, my TV rebooted. In PVRDecoder, a pop-up window showed up:
"Socket Error # 10053 Software caused connection abort"
I restarted PVRDecoder and tried again. I selected a single recording, and this time it looked like it worked. But when I looked in the output folder, the output file was far too small. When I tried to play the file, it only contained the first picture of the recordning. After I tried a second time, the TV rebooted again.
It should be noted that I have a non-MST H-series TV (firmware T-GFSDEUC-1142.0). Maybe PVRDecoder has to be updated to support my TV?
Dont worry, - your antivirus is reacting to the fact that the PVRDecoder contains a module for communicating (with TV) using the Netcat-protocol.
This is a HUGE no-no, if you are a an antivirus-program .. Anyone using Netcat HAS to be evil
Anyway ..
You are experiencing a buffer-underrun. The decoder on TV (specifically H-series) is unable to deliver data fast enough to
keep the FTP-transfer happy. This buffer-underrun can be prevented by letting the PVRDecoder wait
for the recording to decode COMPLETELY on TV before downloading it.
This is not possible with the "standard" version of the PVRDecoder, but I have made a version that
has a switch for exactly this purpose. I will send you a copy of it when I get home from work later today.

Hello,
above described problem is also with me.
TV is a UE40H6600 firmware T-GFSDEUC-1200.2, root successfully. Would also like the special version of PVRDecoder test and would be happy about for download link.
thank you in advance,
raro

Did you have to use auto on timer to make root work on your TV?

@Lordbyte
Thanks for the "buffer underrun safe version", it works!
But the "decoding process on TV" is very, very slow. Tested with LAN and WLAN, USB flash drive and HDD.

Where is the error, and what can I do?

You need a faster TV, or you may overclock your current TV.
The slowness of the decoding-process on TV is an expression of the CPU-power in TV.
Obviously cheaper models may be equipped with lesser CPU?s, and thus lesser processing power.
Just my own personal theory, - I have no real proof that this is the case.
You might ask sectroyer, he might have an idea !

That was the "faster" version? If yes than my "speed up" won't help much

I am not sure I understand you.
I obviously have no clue as to the internal electronics of the TV?s,
but it seems to me that some H-models decode faster than FTP-session
can move data, and thus the process can run in parallel successfully.
Just like the observations both you and I made on each our TV?s.
We thus concluded that it was safe to assume that the decoder would be
faster than FTP-transfer on EVERY H-model. This assumption seems to fail
for several users (TV?s). Once the process is serialized the process works for those TV?s too.
What makes those TV?s so special I have no clue, but processing-power would be an obvious suspect on the affected TV?s.

I have the same problem with slooooooow decoding.
I ran the command top when the TV was decoding a recording. The process exeAPP used about 26% CPU power. I am not sure if this is the decoding process or just the process for normal TV reception. The second process (I don't remember which one) used just a few percent. My TV has four CPU cores and I would expect that total CPU power corresponds to 400%. In other words, the TV rather idle when decoding, and it is using just a small percentage of its total CPU power.
Maybe the decoding is not done by the CPU itself? Even in that case, my TV has double receivers, and should have more decoding power.
