If your firmware is T-CHL7DEUC, your TV is supported.
The risk to brick TV is common for firmware flashing procedure according samsung user manual and FFB.
With version 5.5 risk is almost the same. But... make it on your own risk...

do you see yellow button at all?
If not - you have to make settings in service menu first, just after enabling wiselink write -> on, you get yellow button working as it should.

sure, you need to use Activate alternative firmware tool. Check wiki for more info.
