Just wondering, would it be possible to mount a BD-ISO on a rooted device?

Yes. You could everything with that iso EXCEPT playing bluray movies

BD ISO's are *generally* not encrypted anymore

Well, I mostly agree about BDrip, or even wait for movie to be broadcasted on any TV channel, but that was not the question
