Just opened one up, it's based on a SDP1404 Hawk-P, I think this SoC is also used on some 4K tv's.
eMMC flash is a THGBMBG5D1KBAIT.

I may be off to buy one of these, do you think there is a chance based on what you have posted that there could be enhanced software made available for this item?
