SamyGO

Hi

I installed SamyGo on mu ES8000 ....everything works fine except when i try to play a movie via NFS it takes toooo long for a movie to start , sometimes it takes as long as 1 minute, (i also own B750 Samsung , older model....and the movie mkv, avi, mp4 starts with the lighting speed)

Any advice? What is the newest version of SamyGo?

My firmware is 2003.4 ....can i go with higher firmware, would that improve speed, also up to what version of firmware can i go so SamyGo (NFS) works

Main advice: Stay at FW 2003.4 ! Its one of the best if not the best FW for ES7000/8000. Do never upgrade from this FW.
But if you want to try it anyway - We with ES TV have the pleasure to downgrade it with FW 0000 if we want...
Anyway - I suggest not to play to much with FW...

Are you sure that you compare the sames thing? I mean playing movie over Network is not the same as playing it from USB.
avi and mp4 are faster - but mostly only becsause of filesize...
Newest version of main component of SamyGO (for patching exeDSP/exeAPP) is samyGOso V 1.2.5. But this will not the reason for you situation for sure!

Are you playing the same mkv file on B and ES and both over NFS and the B is faster? Please confirm.

Regarding comparation....i use same source over network (same NAS) via NFS , i never use USB...B750 is playing same .mkv instantly (6-7 seconds) ...this is true...i dont know why it takes so long for my ES8000 to play .mkv...i have to add that it takes same amount of time over DLNA (over a minute), just checked ...can you tell me how to check which version of SamyGo i installed...maybe an update will speed it up..

p.s. is there a way to change color of subtitles on samyGOso V 1.2.5 since i can do it on my old B750

could you give me a link to new samygo and all the tools ....cant seem to find it for ES series...i am in chaos at the moment renovating house and my mind is totally fried:)

I have 2003.4 so i am gonna stick to it....just to update SamyGo to see if it helps with the speed
