UE40ES5505 with T-MST10PDEUC-2007.0 - Root possible?

Hi,
I have a UE40ES5505 with FW: T-MST10PDEUC-2007.0 (due to my own ignorance at the time...) and I wonder if it is possible to 'permanently' root it?
The temporary method (https://wiki.samygo.tv/index.php5/Rooting_the_ES-series) used to work for me for about 30 mins (with empty /mnt-folder) before the TV loses connection to LAN.
Today it is behaving strangely though. I can still root it but when I use SamyGO PVR Decoder the TV 'hangs' after about 5 mins and the transfer fails. The average transfer speed is a bit slower as well (in the first 5 mins when it works) compared to before - something like 75 Mbit/s vs 85 Mbit/s.
So my questions are:
Does anyone know what this new behaviour is all about?
Is there a better root-method in the donors-section for my TV/FW, and do I need to fix the above mentioned problem before trying this method?
Is it possible to donate at this moment in time? (Something about a conflict between Paypal and Turkey on the donors page.)
Thanks for your time!
