I'm trying to use my Wii on my h5500 but i'm getting overscan with it cropping the top and bottom of the picture to fit,
I did a quick test using my dvd recorder and I find the "screen fit" option in the picture sizes isn't available to anything under 720p using a hdmi cable.
I even got a wii2hdmi 480p version, and again the option for "screen fit" isn't available, there is a 720/1080p version but I'm looking for a solution that'll work for component also.

but I don't want to root my tv as i'm still paying monthly fault cover with knowhow.

If a "cropfix" lib has been done, it means of course there was no other (built-in) solution.
I probably forgot to mention it was doing the job as well on all non-fullHD sources (including component)
