Edit hosts

Hi everybody,
It seems that the broadcast stations sent a lot of commercials over hbbtv (red button). You have the normal tv screen overlapped with a commercial screen for about 20 sec. Now, I ask me, to analyze the connection with wire shake or etc. and edit the hosts file to block the annoying advertisements.
Is there a project / solution for that problem?
I'm using the red button a lot so that disabling the red button is not a solution.
