Samsung Series 4 & 6 - Power ON and OFF Noise

hi all
I have a 32" Series 4 and a 46" Series 6. I love both tvs for picture quality and HD capabilities. Yet, I am disturbed by a feature both TVs have that I can't figure out how to disable.
When powering up and powering the TVs off, they make a weird noise. Does anyone out there know how to disable this feature. I can't find anything in the tv options or the manual. Am I stuck with annoying feature?
