Thank you mate, your app is a game changer for our TVs. They are old but I can't see the new models are any better, even root access is limited compared to F and H so I will keep mine until dies and one of the reasons is thanks to your app.

This is not so simple, because need to compile a static curl build or need to replace the whole BusyBox system.
It is easier to download the shell file to a computer and copy it to the right place on the television via ftp.
I think the problem is to be found at github to. Anyone who created this repository could configure it so that the old curl would work as well.
I can write and compile possibly a simple program that downloads the file and copies it to the specified location.

The operation of WhiteRaven is not affected by the curl error.
I will try to compile a static version of curl for you.

I've been already asked some time ago, I think that one should be alright:
(not full static but enough including recent OpenSSL as needed)

I tested it and it works perfectly.

Can you describe in short how to setup cross compiling in this example on curl, or if you have time to make some guide.
I tried to setup cross compiling like in guide on samygo wiki but that two guides is confusing for me, I compile Hello word like in wiki example on Linux Mint

hellowd -works
hellows- do not work, it prints this error
FATAL: kernel too old
Aborted

No idea about that error in particular, maybe "Wiki guide too old"?
You should rather look for any other guide(s) on the web, play few years with cross-compilation, then you should be able to compile curl
I mean basically only experience helps, especially when OpenSSL is involved...

I have installed it right now on my ES8000 in the root way.
Widget starts but state that the TV is not rooted or CGI Interface is not available ...

What am I doing wrong ?
