2011 Plasma, PN64D550, PVR feature?

Have an older Plasma, 2011, PN64D550. Want to know if it's possible to enable PVR feature? Have read other posts, but in service menu there is no caribbean option, only "none, us, kor, mex, and bolivia". There is an option to turn PVR "on", but doesn't seem to work. Futile exercise or possible?

Why does it have a record feature on the remote and why are there PVR options in the service menu?

Maybe software feature added, but no hardware support?

Is there a list of models available that support the PVR feature? I don't understand why it's on the remote and in the service menu, but not supported.
Any information is appreciated.

D550 has limited (reduced) in size firmware where PVR feature is cropped. Even if you can find pieces of code inside, you can not simply switch in on via hidden service menu. Not compatible hardware.
