Mainboard upgrade from JU6000 to JU6500

Hello everyone.

I recently got a used UE48JU6000. I got it cheap, it had some noticeable LED burnout, so i proceeded to replace the whole backlight and got it back to new.
But after a couple of weeks I started having problems with 2 out of 3 HDMI ports not working (no signal message). I tried a bunch of things, nothing worked, and in the end decided to replace the mainboard. While browsing on eBay I couldn't find the exact model for my TV, but having found out that it might be possible to upgrade mainboards if relatively similar in model generation, etc., I picked up a board for a JU6500 model.

The problem is the backlight doesn't work. The lcd display works, I could see the image with a flashlight. I had to disconnect the PWM pin from the power-mainboard connector to force the backlight to stay on. I then checked all the settings in the service menu to ensure everything was like in the old mainboard (display type option, serial, and so on). Obviously no dimming is possible and the eco sensor doesn't work.

I'm guessing the JU6500 models have some kind of more advanced PWM signaling to reduce flickering or something.

Is there any known solution for this?

I was thinking of reverse engineering the PWM signal with an arduino or an attiny and try converting it to what the power supply board expects.

Thanks.

Also, WiFi doesn't work, but I don't really mind as I use the TV primarily as a PC monitor, and I was aware of this possible problem as already mentioned here viewtopic.php?f=89&t=9954&p=82762&hilit=board#p82762.

Did you try to change Boom model in extended service menu to your exact old TV model

I tried that, but still no backlight.
