You can request write permissions for wiki.
I add for your permissions now.
That wiki page not build yet. Just partial info. I expect newbies full that page but they don't.
For C series you can access your TV via internet@TV or USB@home ways. Here is the page.
http://wiki.samygo.tv/index.php?title=H ... _series_TV
Firmware Patcher is only for B series. Not compatible with C series since we don't know AES key yet. (Or we recovered?)
it's on TV and you can create it via
"touch /mtd_rwarea/SamyGO.sh"
but it doesn't put required lines into it. Also that is "Advanced Mode", not for dummies nor anyone doesn't understand from linux commands because you could easily brick your TV with it.
Flashing is old method to hack TV. It gives some comfort like you don't needed to run each extension on TV boot-up.
Want to help us on wiki pages? Feel free yourself to change it since you have editor rights now.
Problem is it's pain in our ass since we love developing but documenting

Thanks

Hi,
A few weeks ago, I started modifying the main table on the home page, to have it include all TV access ways for each model as stated in the wiki (samygo for dummies, some edits by me). The edits of table have been reverted again by someone else, so you can't find the access routes anymore.
The way I see it, is that the main table should hold the information needed for a quick scan of the possibilities of the TV models we support, in a uniform way. Therefore, this table should be a single table on the main page, with all supported models so far, with a comprehensive overview of all access routes and extension possibilities for each model, much like the C-series table, preferably with links to relevant wiki pages for each item. This will make the first steps into TV enhancement a lot easier for newcomers. To make this table, an awful lot of information from many forum threads needs to be gathered and ordered.
I'll be happy to make this new table, but many bits will have to be filled out by others, simply because I don't know the details of most of the models we support.
If there aren't any objections, in the next few days I will make a start with this table on the SamyGO for Dummies page. This should only be a temporary solution, since preferably you will want all data stored in a single place, typically the SamyGO homepage.
grtz,
marcelr

History page says that I did, i did it!

Because do not feel if it's needed to show access ways to B series...Since telnet enabler works for almost all B series TVs... Merging/unifying those tables might popup more problem than it solves.
Indeed, B series table shows compatibility just for SamyGO firmware patcher. Thats why VideoARFix and Big&Colorful subtitles sections in it but PVR,DTS or netsurf like hacks not on colons. At the beg ginning we just have firmware patcher to do patches... Also we support latest firmwares for B series via Children Menu etc... But we don't put it to B series table because of this.
C series table is different. It has it's own spirit. Also no firmware patcher for C series, nor needed. Unification might be possible but what about Guide+ column at C series? B series doesn't have it. Also C series has no VideoARFix or Subtitle hack as B series. So those columns needed to be empty for all C series table.
Is it better to have one, unified, giant table? Or if it's better that every series has it's own compatibility.
Do we really need to unified table structure?
If we need, we also needed to design columns from scratch.

Hi Erdem (and all the rest),
Of course I know you did it!
I fully agree with you that TV's from 2010 are quite different from the earlier ones, with a different set of options and challenges. Nevertheless, from the point of view of a new visitor to this site, I think their shiny TV is just that: a TV. Many of them probably never bothered to checkout the exact type number of it, but probably will know in which year they bought it (not fail safe for type finding, but OK). If they would want to add something from SamyGO to their TV, I think the main page should already lead them directly to the things they need. Especially when you are not an educated computer engineer, the steps you need to take to get SamyGO working may be quite challenging in themselves, so at least finding the right recipe for your TV should be as easy as possible.
A complete, uniform, compatibility table will help these guys find the right way quickly.
Anyway, at the bottom of the SamyGO for dummies page I put a first draft of a new table (just a few entries, without links so far), for everyone to have a look and comment upon. It hasn't changed that much, actually, with respect to the existing ones. I'll be happy to change and complete it according to everyone's needs. The idea is to attach all the numbers inside the green boxes to wiki pages, all the greenish/yellowish and yellow boxes to forum threads. The red boxes will remain unconnected.
So, please comment on it, everyone, so we can get rid of an awful lot of repetitions of the same questions over and over again. (What about a FAQ, BTW?)
grtz,
marcelr

Okey, this is better approach.

You can also move that page to Main wiki thread too with it's own new page.
I have some doubts about "numerating" if it's good or not. Might be letters work better... like
Telnet/
SSH/
FTP/
HTTP ...etc.
So TFH represents Telnet + Http + FTP

Hi Erdem,
I think the letters are more intuitive than the numbers, so I will replace them. To reduce confusion in firmware names I will try and add full model numbers in case there are possibilities for mix-ups. (CI and CI+ devices in the B-series). Then each model will have a unique firmware name. Well, almost, since Samsung are messing up their numbering scheme in the MIPS-powered C-series models

. Can't help that I'm afraid.
Anyway, the table shouldn't take too long to be completed.
