Whole wiki moved to private hosting...[Again]

In this days I am experimenting to move wiki section to private host, for first.
I setup a host at kvm, looking how to move it, and it looks like i am successfully recovered wiki with images also.
Unfortunately user passes are become null due DB movement.
But I can set them by hand, or make forgotten pass section working on wiki...
Later, board could me moved to private host but there is some problem with current backup. phpBB doesn't work properly due style/template issue...Also attachments couldn't recovered from current sf system.SF backup facility doesn't work properly. Forum will stay here some more... Also it's better to move with step-by-step...
I wanted to ask, do you know any good hosting? I ask some friends and they advice me to linode.com, has server on EU and USA, thinking setting up opensuse 11.4 on there.
Also whats are security concerns about it? I could setup wiki and running but whats are the holes to I needed to fill? Like logging/intrusion detection, etc...
I am stranger to web architectures. So better to ask
