If you haven`t change any other setting, image quality shouldn`t become worser. After exiting service menu only personal picture settings are to reset to default values so probably you need to re-calibrate it again.
If your menu become low quality windows-3.11 like graphic, it means, you have to set more robust GUI in service menu.
