SamyGO

I'm very enthousiastic about PVR+ and like to install it on my LE40B652(T4PXZG) with CI+.
On the TV SWU_T-CHLCIPDEUC_002008_I02_ES000DS000_100620 is installed.

But I'm very cautious changing firmware and downgrading.
In the meantime I read a lot on this forum aswell as in the WIKI
However I did not take any action because I don't want to distroy my TV

Some chronological things are confusing to me, so let me pose some Questions to solve this:

• -When I have a recent Firmware installed and I run "SamyGO Telnet Enabler Trojan", will I be able to run SamyGo applications like PVR+ without any other modification of the Firmware?
  -When I install a compatible older firmware with "Force Firmware Back", will I be able to run SamyGo applications like PVR+ without any other modification of the Firmware?
  -When I have modified my recent firmware with f.i. "SamyGo Firmware Patcher" or an older firmware with "Geopatcher", can I run the buildin systemupdate of Samsung? Or do I have to run "Force Firmware Back"?

For sure - you could try copy PVR+ to internal TV`s memory and run PVR+ from there. Tell us if success. But no autostart: everytime you need PVR+, you have to go to ContentLibrary and start it manually...

Same as first, but if not work on 2008.2, this time should work manually. No autostart possible.

Yes, sure. Patched firmware is ok and accepts any USB upgrade (back to postFEB if needed).

Or do I have to run "Force Firmware Back"?

If you need autostart of SamyGO games (like PVR+), then you don`t have any other choise. But if autostart not needed and PVR worked on 2008.2 firmware - it is up to you what to do.

I tried the first option "SamyGO Telnet Enabler Trojan"
All went well, but

When trying to play PVR+ and FTP-server from USB flash drive, error appeared 'not available'
When trying to copy the apps, error appeared 'not coded with your UDN'

What does this mean? Am I on the right track or doing something wrong?

Does mean, you have restricted, postFEB firmware. It doesn`t allow to use custom applications.

I found a trick to copy/upload to TV

I've put the apps in the "telner-enabler" folder and managed to upload to the "Children" folder. The PVR+ app runs(not autostrart) but the TV-image freezes, I think due to configuration of the app f.i. where to store the recordings.

When I should patch 2008.2 with "SamyGo Firmware Patcher", will I able to run apps autostart?

What features does this patcher change by the way?

Or is the only way to run "Force Firmware Back" and install 2006.0, to enable autostart?

Well

You re not able to install any firmware (patched or original) because TV wont accept it. So you don't get autostart in any case.

Then, What for is the Firmware patcher?

For preFeb firmwares. Not for restricted.

So, when I patch 2006.0(which is preFeb), I' should be able to install it with the buildin updater of Samsung, right?

If you need install patched preFeb firmware you:
1. Have to downgrade firmware to original 2006.0 (using FFB)
2. Install patched 2006.0 with the built-in updater.

SamyGO doesn`t recommend to use patched postFeb firmwares because of restrictions and limitations of functionality.
