D Series PVR behaviour

Hi, I rooted my TV yesterday, tested a few recordings from Freesat and all was well. I was also able to change inputs while recording i.e. I could switch to HDMI1 once the recording had started and it continued recording Freesat in the background.

Today, I tried some more recordings and now I can't change inputs any more once a recording has stared, the TV just says "Not Available". Does anyone know why it would allow switching yesterday and now won't?

I have the UE46D7000 running 001015.

I found another thread on the forum here: http://forum.samygo.tv/viewtopic.php?f= ... ing#p16896 which says since 001013 this should work and when I very first tried it, it did! Just as I'm typing this, a scheduled recording has stated while I was watching from HDMI1 and its seems to be recording OK. So why is my D7000 not letting me switch to HDMI if I start a recording while on the DTV source?

AFAIK you only can PVR what you watch currently. Why you was able to switch to other source and still make reccord i don`t know. It is side effect :) (might other know better what it was.. UFO? :o )

your issze is not related to the patch,

the patch at T-GAP*** is doing patch on 2 places, samdrv.ko and inside of exeDSP, they just switching DRM engine to OFF.

Sorry Denny, I wasn't trying to suggest the problem was due to the patch just that the way the TV behaves baffles me.

As I say, the first time I tried it late last night, I was on the TV (satelite) source, connected USB drive and started recording. Switched to HDMI1 to use Xbox - no problem, switched fine. Now today, it won't let me do that!

Even more stupid - I scheduled a recording from satellite and as long as I switch to HDMI before the reocrding starts it will let me continue watching from HDMI while the recording is running. Here's the really stupid bit - if I switch away from HDMI back to TV (satellite) while the recording is going, I am now stuck on the TV source again! I can't switch back to HDMI. This really bakes my noodle.

That's a typical korean/japanese way of thinking. As opposite to apple they don't check things and apparently they don't listen to users.
