I'm planning to buy an UE40D7000 and my question is:
Would it be possible to install the "D series hack" with the current factory firmware from Sansung?.

But I think it is valid for D series as well...

Don't upgrade if you don't really need to do that. We have evidence, new firmwares came with some changes against SamyGo. I wouldn't advice...

Many thanks for your answers, as I understood, it's better to don't upgrade when I receive my TV but the question was:
Do somebody know if the TVs are comming with that bloody new firmwares from factory or otherwise they come with a firmware where I can install the "D hack"?

it's not possible to say, nobody knows when you shop got the device...

If it can help, I'm the proud owner of an UE40D7080 since Friday, with the latest and current 1016 firmware (no updates found if I select update in the menu). I just rooted it fine. So no worries to have right now.
FTP, web shell, samba all work fine, PVR stuff will have to wait until I receive my CI+ card for DTV sometime next week.
