I don`t use 3D mode at all, don`t know what is normal mode...
Do you mean normal picture mode?

yeah... D6100 has poor options for 3D compared to C750 i agree,
as for the question here the answer is: nobody found the way yet. indeed there were tries to achieve that.
don't forget that C750 was a top model from LCD models in 2010 when D6100 is just the cheapest middle class from LEDs
