I have a mac and when writing to USB i can only write to fat32 or HFS+ natively.
Fat32 is a no go as my movies are over 4 Gb.
i have a NTFS writer product installed however writing to NTFS it is incredibly slow.

However HFS+ is incredibly quick.

Once i have root access, could I run " mount -t hfsplus" and specifiy the usb device?

does the kernal on the d series support hfsplus?

Any suggestions?
if you have root access (over SamyGO widget) you can look around what stuff is installed with the widget in directory /mtd_down/widgets/user/SamyGO/ (and subdirectories)
maybe SamyGO/lib/modules/2.6.30.9/kernel/fs/hfsplus/hfsplus.ko it's not just for decoration....

As i tried all possible filesystems on my D6000, I haven't got neither hfs, nor hfs+ mounted. It were don't recognized at all.
So nativelly no go. Buy if you use hfsplus.ko, I believe you get other result :-)
