When Skype recommends that both parties have the same version, they are of course talking about the PC VERSION! It has nothing to do with "obscure" Skype implementations like the TV widget!
I bet there is nothing like Skype widget version 5.5...

It's not uncommon that applications for different platforms have completely different versioning. Especially if they were not developed for that platform since the very beginning...
Why don't you just use Skype on PC?! Do you get better quality on PC?
