Disable/hide source connection

Hi everyone!
I'd like to disable or hide some of the connection showed into my tv source menu.
I want to do this, because after changing the model in service menu (d4003 to d550), new connections appeared into the source menu, which my tv actually doesn't have (it shows component and vga for example, but my tv doesn't have them).

Exploring the service menu of other TVs, i noticed it can be done under the "config menu", but on my service menu there's no config menu...

Can i unlock this menu? Can i disable connection in other ways?

Thank you for your great help! :)

Thx for your answer!
I think you Are referring to config menu in the sm...
But, as i wrote in the first post, i can't find the config menu in my tv sm :(

No one knows how to access the config menu??
I also tried to press 0000 but it unlocks just few (useless) options..

UPDATE
Exploring the service menu on another samsung lcd tv, I founded that input sources can be disabled under:

Code: Select all

"Control" -> "Config menu"
Unfortunately, "Config menu" does not appear into my sm...

:?: Anyone can help me? Is there some way to unlock it? :?:

You can use ExLink to change hiden menus, but need to know where it is first :)

EDIT: just checked, on D6 series this submenu is:

Code: Select all

Control - Config Options

Thanks... Do you have some links to point me in the right direction?
I never used ExLink even if i read something about it...

Anyway, my tv is D4 series and does not have any vga port, so i think i should use the service port (a jack port i think) to connect to the tv...
Any help would be much appreciated.. :)

ah, if this port is labeled "Service", then yes, use it ;)

But i`m not sure what kind of ExLink cable should you use...
I know some D series USA models have same service port like yours and use simple ExLink cable without any ttl converter, like on B series.
But its just my guess, because if i`m wrong, you can burn your TV. Check wiki for cable details.

Thanks for your info :)
Anyway, before trying with exlink connection, i think i should try "factory"+"3speed" combination into the sm ..

The problem is i can't connect my tv to the lan and use ruSamsungCommunicator...

I can just hope that changing the model to d550 and attaching a compatible wireless usb adapter, i will succeed...
Do you think my tv will recognize a wireless adapter after changing model??
Thx again
