Is E series supported by SamyGO?

Post by juusso »

As the E series is just released, all sets are marked as "unsupported".

We're intensivelly working in research of this series and I hope first rooted models come as soon as we get more volunteers.

I can just say, some job is already done and results are inspirating

Hello,

i've got a UE22ES5400 http://www.samsung.com/it/support/model ... -techspecs (Mstar based) Italian model with exlink; i can see debug info from the VGA port.. but standard 10041004 code doesn't enable the typing of anything.. my cable used to work on a C series Samsung so i think it's still right.
i enaled RS232 Debug mode in Service menu.. and got to advanced service menu with Lirc and Factory/3Speed IR codes..

lot's of things to tweak.. interesting stuff about "IPTV" too!

I have UE46ES7000 and 2 Exlink cables, first for VGA and second for jack, both proved on D and B series.

ES7000/ES8000 have only jack physicaly, so I tried second one, but I got only some haotic chars ... I tried various speeds, but no any readable output.

Any idea?

Has your jack-cable (from B series, right?) the ttl converter? I think no :)
I hope you haven`t burned nothing on TV, because it provides 12V from com port... Just only if you useb2serial adapter then could breath easier.

As all series, starting from C need ttl converter (with some deviations - D series plasma USA model has same interface as B series, w/o ttl...), you could try to use cable from D series, but with jack connector at the end.

Also/or check your All connection settings like flow control etc, not only speed.

Yes, that's it !
I created cable for convert vga15<->db9 to connect cables from B and D series together(first I don't want to destroy my old working cables and I want to be still able to try all variants).
And when I connect all 3 cables together I got readable output ! :geek:
So YES, we need ttl like C/D series, but with jack at the end.
But be careful, I think that Rx and Tx are possiblly exchanged from C/D series ... but I'm not sure, because I tried many things ... I will verify it later.

Hmm, I know, flow control need to be set to none, because this is only 3 wire connection without any flow control.

Anyway now I have Exlink debug output ... I tried some input like 10041004, but nothing happens ... any other idea there ?

so the codes should be 1198282 followed by 20089999.

Sorry, but 1198282 also not working ...

I tried another cable, result is same ... BTW Rx and Tx are crossed together from B/D series jack pinout.
