HD channels are shown in SD on my B650 for a strange reason

Hello,
for some strange reason, channels using 720p are shown in the same low resolution like SD channels. The TV recognizes the channel format as well and shows 720p in the info tab but everything seems to be displayed like in SD.
I played around with settings in the service menu before but even a factory reset did not help.
Is a reason known why a LE37B650 shrinks pictures in high resolutions?
