Regards,

While playing a recording failed hard drive and now I lost the *.mta file. Without that file does not work. I tried to copy a *.mta file associated with another recording and rename it, but does not work. Any ideas?

All other files are correct: ckf, enc, inf, mdb and srf.

Thanks

What TV model do you have? The MTA files contain only preview thumbnails and should not be required for playback. At least on my TV I can freely delete them and can still play the recording without problems (the thumbnails are not re-created, though).

My model is UE40D6530WSXXH with firm T-GASDEUC-1019.4
Yes, if I change the mta file for another record and rename it, the tv shows the thumbnails of the other file but it can't play the video.

Are you absolutely sure that it can't play the video because of the missing MTA file?
I would bet that the recording file is somehow corrupted after the hard drive failed... and THAT is the real reason why the recording doesn't play.

Do a quick test - record few minutes of some show, let the TV create the MTA file by playing the recording and then delete the MTA file (e.g. via FTP) and try to play the recording again. And we'll see if it will play or not.
