USBtoTTL-Adapter on VGAExLink

Hello!
I buy this product:

Now I want to connect with an VGA cable Like this:
Do I need to connect the 3V3 or VCC Port anywhere?

No. Neither 3,3 nor 5v. You just have to use rx, tx and GND.

I do not get it to work on my D7000 TV. Could it be that I need a 3.5 jack like this?

I post because there is nothing on my console. But the wires are conected. My Problem is that I can not enable RS232 like it is described for C/D series:
[MENU] [MUTE] [POWER] --> Enter the Control menu and set the value of the RS232 mode to Debug.
The service menu is like it is described for the E series:
[MENU] [MUTE] [POWER] --> Control -> Sub Option -> RS-232 Jack -> to DEBUG
And I think the jack is an indicator for 3.5 and not VGA. But I'm not quite sure.

I`m sure, believe me.
Check your cable pins, make loopback test: connect the TX and RX pins and check what you type should appear on the terminal.If nothing on the terminal - means your cable is not working.
Check cable drivers.
Also cable length sometimes is important.
Connection parameters.

ok loopback works. I connect the usbadapter to a vga cable (for monitor) ... maybe this is a problem. Should I try it with something like this?

Yes I already think about that this is not the best solution. But it was the easiest way
Than I will order this adapter. Hope it works out
