Possible to lockout service mode? (LN32D450)

I'm in the process of fixing an LA32D450.

It is an Australian model, but bad caps suspected of taking out main board, so I replaced the main board with one from the USA (because it was cheap).

I was just about to start playing around to try and make the TV work on Australian DTV services (no doubt by using the leet skilz here!) but now somehow the service mode has stopped working.

Can I have locked out the service mode somehow?

Still unable to get into service mode. I have tried a different Sammy remote, I have tried resetting the TV via pressing exit for 10 seconds (which worked).

Next step the eeprom bypass?

Support-Contact Samsung advises me that the firmware is T-MST4AUSC-1018.1

Unplug tv for 15 min and try again?
If no success, send info + factory IR codes (wav way, factory rc, arduino etc ... all on wiki. Sorry no link, im on tapatalk). Or try reset eeprom by shortening pins.
