I have enabled serial debug mode and connected my dku-5 cable but nothing comes out.

Is your cable working? Check it, check vga pins you are connecting to.

I confirm that DKU-5 works fine on my C6510 with FW 3015.
Check configuration of the COM port.

I don't know if my cable is ok, how can i test that?
tried different configuration but nothing. does it look ok to you, the attached picture?

I couldn't get it to work in win7 64bit, so i had to install it on a xp pc with some old nokia drivers, is that correct?

Check what settings do you have for com port /right click, properties/

Did you try Windows HyperTerminal?
Plug the cable and start the communication, then turn the TV on.

I think he should do the loopback test first to be sure cable is working. (short circuit between rx and tx - you should get on terminal window what you type, wysiwyg... )

The loopback test didn't work, tried putty and hyper terminal but nothing, something wrong with the cable then?
