D7000 vertical lines

I've searched various web pages about vertical banding in the belief this is what my TV is suffering with but it doesn't sound the sound.
Has anyone noticed that when bright colours are produced on the screen mainly whites, pale grey etc that they see two or more vertical lines from top to bottom down the screen. Mine are about 40% from the left and are about an 3cm apart and each line is about half a centimeter.
They appear whether playing through sky HD box or movie files from hard drive.
Can anyone explain what this is? Can it be fixed easily or is a replacement part required.
Or is this the same as vertical banding but in a different form
