I don't understand...

I have a ES8000 tv with the latest firmware (2003.4 as of writing).

Aren't subtitles supported???

On my D8000 I had for example: VIDEO.MKV and VIDEO.SRT and subtitle worked.
On ES8000 subtitles don't show up

Help!

It seems that subs inside mkv are supported (as opposed to D8000 which is buggy when subs are inside mkv).

Put subs with srt extension are not read?

Update..

If I put a video (mkv) and subtitles (srt) on an external usb hdd, they work.

If I try to play the same 2 files from a mounted directory, they don't.

The video plays but no subtitles are read.
