UN46D6900WF - Updated Firmware to 1026 and Lost Apps

Hello,
I have a UN46D6900WF - Worked great with a wireless connection to my router.
I updated the firmware to 1026 by USB and now I only have 9 apps. In particular, netflix is missing. In smarthub, the "samsung apps", "search", and "your video" sections are unresponsive. The apps in the lower portion of the screen work (with the exception of the web browser, which says connecting, then gives up) and I can connect through allshare to my Serviio DLNA.
The network status reports a good connection to the internet either wireless or wired.
I have done a reset.
I have done a reset to plug and play by holding the the exit button for 30 seconds.
I have done a factory reset from the service menu.
I'm not sure what else to try.
Thanks for your help.

Something that might help. When I try the "search" button on the remote from outside smarthub, it took me to a network setup screen, where I selected USA. Now when I try to press the search button outside of smarthub I get, "check network settings to use this service". This is despite the network status showing a successful connection to the net.

while in smarthub press
>>289<< and in popup menu choose your country. Or just change country to other. This forces to reinstall widgets.
edit: oops, this must be fw 289 rw

rw 2 8 9 ff doesn't do anything in smart hub. Outside of smarthub, it causes the TV to flash "not available"

I don't know it this is related, but I thought maybe I'd try reflashing the firmware. From outside smarthub, I can ask for a firmware update by usb, but it says there is no file available to upgrade (same USB stick that successfully upgraded previously). It this an error, or is it simply because the TV is already on the same firmware? Can I force a reflash from the service menu?
Also, I saw someone else on the net had this problem "Network functions do not work. That is, I'm unable to use any of the 'Smart Hub' features. Error is 'Network is not connected. Check network settings to use this service'. Network status shows connected, and all IP address info is correct. You can even ping the TV from any network connected device." I think this is the same as my problem. They never got a solution.

Talked to samsung live chat. This is supposedly a known issue with some models that is currently being worked on.

I also have this problem beginning on Saturday the 5th, all smarthub is disabled if I set region to US. If I set to another region it works but I need US region for certain apps. Samsung sucks.
Edit: got smart hub working again by setting infolink country=us, infolink server type=developing in extended service menu
